Nikita Raisha Doornbosch was born in Haarlem, the Netherlands. Her parents named her after Elton John’s song Nikita. At an early age, Nikita discovered a love for music while learning to play the violin. Growing up in a home where music was always playing, as her dad was a piano instructor whom at most times conducted lessons at his home. Soul,pop and Classical music seemed to become somewhat second nature to the youngster. Although her love and talents grew greater over the years, her struggles to become the star she had dreamed of all her life became more and more challenging.
After participating in a Dutch television show,“Holand’s Got Talent.” Nikita’s life began to change. In 2009 Nikita attended the Pop Academy in Utrecht, the Netherlands. There she began to develop her musical skills and prepare herself for a long career in the music business.
2010 brought even more success as Nikita lent her vocal talents to producers “Gangsterboys” for a Dutch film. Then again performing as a backing vocalist for popular Dutch artist Nicole Bus, Wudstik and Maroc & Roll.
As Nikita began to strengthen her talents she was recognized by K-Liber4life, a popular Dutch-Antillean band, in which she released her debut dance single “Drop Die Beat.”as the song became popular amongst the club scene. A string of performances followed at several major venues all around the Netherlands such as “Mysteryland” and Pleasure Paas Party, which is held in one of the biggest arenas in Holland“ Ahoy,Rotterdam.
2011, Nikita has released her first international single “I Ain’t Mad” produced by producer Jeroen “Big Dawg” Napp.” In her own words, she describes her voice as an authentic combination of pop, soul and r&b. Her influences and inspiration comes from all of the industry greats, such as Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Destiny’s Child and Christina Aguilera just to name a few.
