My name is Emy Perez, born in Venezuela, I have been singing ever since i was two, it’s always been my biggest passion. I won 2 consecutive national awards by the age of 11. I started singing professionally by the age of 12, I’ve had the pleasure to open for the biggest bands in my country and any international artists that came to perform in my city. Amongst them were Shakira, Franco de Vita, Guaco, Cafe Tacuba, Los Pericos, Desorden Publico, Amigos Invisibles. Signed my first record deal at the age of 15, signed in the USA with Magic City Records (Sony Music) at the age of 17. Opened for Earth, Wind and Fire, Shakira(also did backing vocals), Amedeo Bianchi (eros ramazotti’s saxophone player), worked with Steve Morales, Shane stoner, Keith Morrison and production team. Worked in the UK as a backing vocalist, songwriter and jingle writer. Studied at the music Conservatorium in Alkmaar, the netherlands. Being a vocal coach for 7 years and a choir director for 3 years, my goal always being original and make my own arrangements. I was part of the band Separate Chain Reaction for 3 years and opened for Intwine in their NL tour for a year and a half. The last couple of years i’ve grown as a musician and a singer, started to write my own compositions outside my old love “Rock” music. Dance house projects and a Soul record in the making, i’m more myself than ever!, expanding my horizons as an artist, teacher and Choir director.
