Not to be confused with the French City of Mulhouse in the Alsace, Mullhouse - with two L`s - is a band. And not just another band from Groningen, the only town in the country where bars are open around the clock. For this quartet obviously the nighttime is the right time. They play the kind of stubborn staccato seedy nightclub blues that is vaguely reminisent of renowed night trippers like Tom Waits and Nick Cave. Here and there a touch of jazz and country music for good measure. Their instruments are shockingly tradional, just guitars, piano and drums. Talking about ambience and style ? Well, here`s your band. Rocking till the cows come home, they have built up quite an impressive repertoire in relatively no time. Where will this end, one asks oneself.
