Dolly Dot Ria Brieffies is maandagavond 21 juli 2009 in haar woonplaats Westerland (Noord-Holland) overleden. Ze is 52 jaar geworden.
De populaire Dolly Dots hadden hun grootste successen in de jaren tachtig. De afgelopen jaren trad de groep weer af en toe op. De drie concerten in 2007 in Ahoy in Rotterdam waren binnen de kortste keren uitverkocht. In 2008 volgde een afscheidstoernee.
Hits van de Dolly Dots waren onder meer Love Me Just a Little Bit More, She's a Liar en Tell it all about Boys.
