Black Sun
The Diabolo came to Europe from China in the late 18th Century and even then the people were astonished. Old Chinese Diabolos were made out of Bamboo sticks and swing at high speeds.
BRAID HANGING
Braid hanging is almost extinct, originally it was a way of proving ones courage. On SUN’s 60cm long braided hair, braided in the traditional way that was handed down through the centuries, hangs his complete weight – an attraction that you rarely see today.
FIRE JUMPING
The jump over fire through tyres with knives sticking through them is always one of the greatest moments and highlights for the spectators. This is proof of the highest skill and body control and requires enormous concentrations to perform.
TIGER FORKS
The Tiger, the symbol for luck, strength and power, was fought in old China with cleverly made forks. Even if the Tiger didn’t show up, no hunter could have ever reached this level of skill by playing with the Tiger Fork.
JUGGLING
Many, many people have racked their minds over the origin of juggling. Was it developed just for fun or was it that some Chinese man had so much fun with his excellent dinner that he decided to juggle his plate on his chop sticks? Who knows?!!
SUN TSENG HAI
takes his public with the most unbelievable speed and skill into another culture. His traditional artistic skill of the Chinese Arts – juggling, Fire Jumping, Braid Hanging – overwhelms the public and leaves them surprised and fascinated. The length of the presentation varies between 6 and 14 minutes. The required amount of room should be at least 3.5 x 6 metres. If he is to show the Braid Hanging, the room must be at least 4 metres high, under certain circumstances it can be performed within a height of 2.5 metres.
